Deep cleaning for the things you sit and sleep on

Ideal Care USA cleans upholstery, mattresses, rugs and carpets in the home, then applies fabric protection when the material will take it. We test the fibre before we touch it and we tell you what will and will not come out.

What we clean

Four kinds of job, all of them in the home. Everything below is done on site: nothing is taken away, and nothing is started before you have a price in writing.

Upholstery

Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and headboards. Cushion covers and the frame get the same pass, including the back nobody looks at.

Mattresses

Both faces and the sides, with a low-moisture method so the core does not get soaked and the bed is usable the same evening.

Rugs and carpets

Wool, synthetic and mixed pile. Fringes and bound edges are worked by hand, because a machine pass is what tears them.

Fabric protection

An impregnation applied after cleaning, on fibres that accept it. It buys time against spills; it is not a guarantee that nothing will ever stain.

How a visit works

The same four steps every time. If something in the assessment changes the price, you hear it then, before any water touches the piece.

1

Assessment

We look at the fibre, the backing and the stains, and test a hidden corner for colour fastness. You get the price and the expected drying time before we start.

2

Dry soil first

Most of what is in a sofa or a rug is dry grit. It comes out with a brush and a vacuum pass. Wetting it first only turns it into mud in the pile.

3

The clean itself

Hot-water extraction where the piece can take it, low-moisture encapsulation where it cannot. Spots are treated one at a time, not with a single blanket chemical.

4

Grooming and drying

The pile is set in one direction, air movers go on where they help, and we tell you when the piece can be used again and what to keep off it until then.

What to expect, honestly

Cleaning is not restoration. A ten-year-old stain that has already bleached the dye out of a fibre will lift the soil around it and still be visible, and we would rather say that at the door than after you have paid.

The list below is what we tell every customer before starting. None of it is small print.

  • Drying time is hours, not minutes: usually four to eight for upholstery and longer for a dense rug in a closed room. Air flow matters more than heat.
  • Colour fastness is tested on a hidden corner first. If the dye moves, we change method or stop, and you are told which.
  • Old stains that have changed the fibre itself do not come back. What we can do is remove what sits on top of them.
  • Odour from a source still in the padding needs the source dealt with first. A surface clean only postpones it.
  • Protection is applied only where the fibre accepts it, and it is reapplied after future cleans, not once forever.

Questions we get asked

If yours is not here, write and ask. A person reads the message and answers about your piece rather than in general.

How long before I can use it again?

Upholstery is usually touch-dry in four to eight hours with the windows open and a fan running. A dense rug in a closed room takes longer. We give you the estimate for your piece before starting, not after.

Do you move the furniture?

We move what two people can move safely and put it back. Anything heavy, fragile or built in is better cleared by you beforehand, and we say so when the job is booked.

Will the stain come out?

Sometimes. It depends on what it is, how long it has been there and whether it has already changed the dye. We look first and tell you which of those it is before any money is agreed.

Is it safe around children and pets?

We use the mildest product that will do the job and rinse it out. Keep the room ventilated and stay off the piece until it is dry; we will tell you if anything used on your job needs more care than that.

Do you clean leather?

Leather and suede are cleaned and conditioned rather than extracted, and some finishes should not be touched at all. We check the finish first and decline the job if the risk is on you.

Do you take payment on this website?

No. Nothing is bought or paid for here. This site has no checkout and never asks for card, bank or document numbers, and neither do we by email.

Tell us what needs cleaning

Describe the piece, the fabric if you know it, and what happened to it. We reply with a method, a drying time and a price, in writing.
